Operator Environment
The Spirit Delta cab gives the operator an efficient and safe place to work from. The cab design is the end result of a major analysis of operators' working conditions. The most important objective is to be able to offer optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and big glass areas unobstructed in order to keep the field of vision clear. The ergonomically designed instrument panel is gently rounded and extremely comfortable. This particular area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all important info, so as to keep the operator working as effectively as possible.
Due to the insulated mounting to the chassis, overall noise levels and vibration levels are kept low. The controller's seat and the hydraulic controls are all individually adjustable that allows you to maintain an optimum working position. In addition, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for utmost comfort. There are 2 multi-functioned ergonomically positioned and easy to operate levers that are offered for the window washers, horn, gear changing and windscreen wipers.
To guarantee a comfy cab temperature for the operator, a ventilation/heating unit supplies incoming air which is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The machinery has a robust 3-speed fan for recirculation, defrosting, heating and cooling. As an extra option, air conditioning could be fitted.
Instrumentation
In the Spirit Delta, the instrument panel has logically grouped units that are all accessible. Basic instrumentation includes: low brake pressure, high coolant temperature, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, warning lamps, applied parking brake and high gearbox oil temperature. Furthermore, gauges display values for fuel quantity, operating time, engine coolant and gearbox oil pressure.
The ECS or also called Electronic Control System monitoring is among the main options on the 8 to 10 tonne trucks. These units make it easier to supervise the equipment. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS or Electronic Control System and incorporated by this system. The full text display and the single warning lamp show any errors that happen and their current values.
