Because of the increasing demand for high performing narrow aisle reach trucks, Nissan has taken the initiative to build the first pantograph type reach truck in the industry. Introducing the new SRX Platinum Series of reach trucks has become part of the North American market. The Australian launch is scheduled to follow really soon.
The SRX Platinum Series is offered in 3 capacities. These load capacities range from 1360 kilograms to 2000. The system was developed thanks to intensive operator participation on the design. These factors played a huge part to ensure its acceptance into the hugely competitive reach truck market within the US. The following outstanding operator comfort and safety features have resulted for the Nissan trucks.
Because of a low step height, exit and entry is simplified. The side stance design makes reverse and forward driving a comfortable experience for the operator. The unit is complete with a gently sloped floorboard which is positioned to sit over 4 vibration isolators. This design offers a relaxed driving position for the operator throughout a standing shift. Moreover, the SRX Platinum Series offers a cushioned floor mat to provide a ride that is smoother and more enjoyable.
The caster design of the dual spring suspension system adds to the equipment's smoothness of operation. This particular suspension on rough and uneven driving surfaces, the suspension has been designed to offer much better stability during operation. The thick padding located underneath the operator's arm further enhances the total comfort factor. There is a cushioned backrest and height adjustable knee pad in place also. The high operator backrest and the rear overhead guard post on the SRX Series offer additional protection for the operator. This is especially vital when working around racking and within tight locations.
Nissan's lift trucks have been made with the ergonomically and intuitive designed interior with a multi-function handle, which helps to achieve accurate control while lessening operator comfort. Some of the Operational commands include drive, lift and lower, horn, side-shift or other auxiliary function and reach could be performed and executed using this single handle.
