Used Daewoo Dual Fuel Forklifts Modesto

Basic Fuel Types of Forklifts
Forklifts are powered lift trucks that are utilized in a wide variety of industries to move heavy supplies and products. Forklifts are tough and dependable machines which are necessary tools in warehouse and construction settings. Lift truck units vary depending on the type of work setting and the kind of fuel that is utilized to power the lift truck.

Electricity
Electric forklifts are great for work sites which have limited ventilation because they make no exhaust fumes and are relatively quiet. They are designed to be powered by large, industrial-strength batteries. As the electric lift truck batteries require charging, the worksite would need a charging station. The batteries are durable and could be re-charged up to 1,500 times before they need to be replaced. The charging station should be located in a ventilated area and include an emergency eyewash station and an acid spill kit.

Propane
Liquid propane powered forklifts are normally used in modern industrial operations because propane has several benefits over diesel and electric. Propane models are cleaner to operate than diesel-powered units. There is no down time needed to recharge an industrial battery, and the cost for propane is less compared to the cost of electricity. A lift truck propane tank can be refueled easily and quickly by changing out the empty tank with a full tank. Typically an off-site supplier refills the empty tank, making refueling very safe and efficient.

Diesel and Gasoline
Diesel and gasoline lift trucks are the machinery of choice for rough terrain and outdoor applications. They are commonly found on lumber yards and construction sites. Their disadvantages comprise fairly high maintenance requirements, odorous exhaust and fairly high fuel costs. Their advantages comprise reliability in tough conditions and a longer lifespan than other units. Diesel and gasoline units should be refueled at a supply station on site which meets safety and health policies.
